After a February 11th surgery, 9 days in the hospital, and a cold we thought things were shaping up. Then tradegy fell on the family. Her maternal grandmother passed away suddenly the end of March. With the stress and a lowered immune system, Darci got so sick that she had to miss the funeral day. Her blood pressure was up and down and we thought she might end up back in the hospital. God was on our side and she is now back on the great list. She is looking forward to our next fundraisier, the Thunder Road Classic Car Show. More updates later.

Well it has been almost a year since surgery. Darci has had another cold, but so far no other illness. Unfortunately, we again lost a loving family member. On January 11th, we lost her parternal grandfather. We will keep you posted on her progress. She is looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our year full of great events. More update later.

We have passed the one year mark. Darci is doing great with the organ transplant. She has issues with the anti-rejection drug side effects, which we are dealing with as best we can. We have had to cancel two events due to lack of participants and they were Darci's favorite ones- scrapbooking. As a means to keep herself busy, we have created an online scrapbooking business for her and signed up to do some craft shows. Our next fundraiser will be Ernie May & His Banjo Friends at the Concerts in the Park at Orion Township Civic Center on Joslyn Road. Come here some terrific music and donate to Darci's cause. The event is on July 20th at 7:30pm-9pm.

Finally getting around to posting updates. Darci is doing great with the organs. She started Weight Watchers to help off set the pills (on makes you gain weight) and has lost 18 pounds so far. Bummed that our car show as a bust, she is looking forward to Bash the Car tonight. We got a Honda to destroy. She continues to do her scrapbooking and working towards more weight lose. Keep checking back for updates on Darci and the Foundation events.
